Registration
Thank you for your purchase of DSP-FX pro audio effects plug-ins. In order
to continue using your DSP-FX plug-ins beyond the initial seven day period,
it is necessary to register your product ID and Machine ID numbers with us.
Shortly after performing the registration, you will receive a password that
will allow continued, uninterrupted use of DSP-FX. The password will
be sent to you at the e-mail address you specify in the form below.
You may also need to repeat this registration process if you upgrade your computer
system or re-install DSP-FX. In this case, repeat the steps below to get a new password.
Note: if you ordered the DFX Master Pack audio enhancement
plug-ins, this registration system is not for you. Please click here.
Step-by-step Instructions:
- If you have previously installed a demo version of the
Virtual Pack, you can remove it before installing the retail
version by issuing the command:
Start → Settings → Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs →
DSP-FX Demo
- Install DSP-FX retail version
- If you are on Windows Vista please disable UAC (User Account Control) prior to registering. To turn off UAC:
- Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, click User Accounts.
- In the User Accounts window, click User Accounts.
- In the User Accounts tasks window, click Turn User Account Control on or off.
- If UAC is currently configured in Admin Approval Mode, the User Account Control message appears. Click Continue.
- Clear the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box, and then click OK.
- Click Restart Now to apply the change right away, or click Restart Later and close the User Accounts tasks window.
Note: after you successfully register the product by following the rest of the steps below, you may re-enable UAC to protect your computer.
- After installation, run the Register program to generate your Machine ID. You
will need to enter your Product ID:
Start → Programs → DSPFX Virtual Pack → Register
- Note your Machine ID that is generated
- Verify your Machine ID by running a DSP-FX plug-in. If you have not registered
yet, a Password dialog screen should appear prompting you for a password. The Machine
ID on that dialog screen should match the one you noted from the Register program. If
they don't match, use the Machine ID you see on the Password dialog, not the one you
received from the Register program.
- Enter your Product ID, Machine ID, and email address in the form above and click
"Submit". You will then receive your new password at the email address you entered
within 20 minutes.
- Once you get your password, enter it into the Password dialog screen when you use
DSP-FX to complete your registration.
Thank you, and enjoy DSP-FX!
